SUNDAY SUPPERS

A nutritious free hot meal every Sunday, from October to April.

About Sunday Suppers

Founded by Vicky and Steve Lawrence in 2023, Sunday Suppers serves people who are homeless or experiencing food poverty in the local community with a nutritious free hot meal every Sunday evening from October to late April at Rivercourt Methodist Church in King Street, London W6 9JT.

Tea and coffee are served from 6.30pm. Supper is served at 7.30pm. We use halal meat; vegetarian and vegan options are available.

We also offer our guests some groceries to take away, and good quality secondhand clothing, when available.

Our first season, 2023/24, ran for 24 weeks. We fed 172 different people, including 53 women, the youngest of whom was 14, and served over 1,000 meals, including takeaways. By the time we paused for a summer break we were feeding between 65 and 70 guests every Sunday.

Our second season, 2024/25, ran for 28 weeks. We fed 255 different guests, including 78 women, and served over 2,000 meals. Between 70 and 100 guests attended every Sunday.

We have over 60 volunteers, including sixth-form students from local schools. We ask all our adult volunteers to be DBS checked.

You can help by donating

In order to provide so many meals on a regular basis, we need ingredients. Every donation makes a huge difference. And, we try to provide more than than just a hot meal. We can help to distribute essential items such as sleeping bags and backpacks.
