Sunday Suppers serves people who are homeless or experiencing food poverty in the local community with a nutritious free hot meal every Sunday evening from October to late spring at Rivercourt Methodist Church in King Street, London W6 9JT.
Sunday Suppers became a registered charity in November 2024 (charity number 1210994).
Tea and coffee are served from 6.30pm. Supper is served at 7.30pm. We use halal meat; vegetarian and vegan meal options are available.
We also offer our guests some groceries to take away, and good quality secondhand clothing, when available.
We are grateful to be supported by City Harvest London, London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, Rivercourt Methodist Church, St Peter’s Church, St Peter’s C.E. Primary School and local shops and businesses, as well as private individuals. We also receive generous sponsorship from World Experience Organisation.
Our first season, 2023/24, ran for 24 weeks. We fed 172 different guests, including 53 women, the youngest of whom was 14, and served over 1,000 meals, including takeaways. By the time we paused for a summer break we were feeding between 65 and 70 guests every Sunday.
Our second season, 2024/25, ran for 28 weeks. We fed 255 different guests, including 78 women, and served over 2,000 meals. Between 70 and 80 guests attended every Sunday.
Our third season, 2025/26, ran for 32 weeks. We again regularly fed 70 to 80 guests every Sunday and served over 2,300 meals, plus takeaways.
We have over 60 volunteers, including sixth-form students from local schools.
We require all our adult volunteers to be DBS checked and our cooks to have a current Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering certificate. A number of our volunteers have Level 3 certificates in Emergency First Aid at Work.
